RigOne for Mac

In development for macOS

The focused RigOne operating style, taking shape for the Mac station desk.

RigOne for Mac is currently in development. The aim is to bring the same practical approach to macOS: keep the useful controls close at hand and avoid turning everyday radio operation into a complicated cockpit.

The Windows version is the current public release. The Mac version is coming along for a future release.

Taking shape

The familiar RigOne way of operating, built for macOS.

The core functionality is already taking shape. It is an early development build rather than a finished release, but the important operating pieces are beginning to come together.

Choose and control

  • Radio selection and settings workflow
  • Frequency and mode control
  • Band buttons and practical operating controls
  • The same focused RigOne approach, adapted for the Mac

See what is happening

  • Panadapter and waterfall display taking shape
  • Passband controls for practical receive adjustment
  • RF and SQL controls close to hand
  • Layouts that work for different station desks

Built carefully

  • More development and testing over the coming weeks
  • Feedback will help guide the details that matter most
  • Not yet the main public release version
  • Progress updates will appear here as the app develops

Early layouts

Room to find the right balance for a Mac desktop.

Alongside the Wide and Full views above, Compact and Custom layouts are being explored so the controls can stay useful whether RigOne is your main window or sits alongside other station software.

These are development views, not a promise of a final feature list, but they show the direction clearly.

Compact view for a smaller station control surface.
Custom view, exploring a flexible arrangement for the desktop.

Development progress

Coming along steadily, one useful piece at a time.

RigOne for Mac is not yet ready to replace the Windows release. The immediate work is to develop, test and polish the core experience carefully before calling it ready for wider use.

If using RigOne on macOS interests you, please keep an eye on this page for updates. Thoughts from operators are welcome as the Mac version takes shape.

Windows remains the public release: RigOne for Windows is the version to download and use today. This Mac page is here to share the work in progress and gather useful feedback along the way.
